Cleansers (C) ,Toners (T) and Specialty Treatments (ST) Your basic skin care routine should consist of three regular steps twice a day. The first step is to wash or cleanse your face (C). After you have washed and rinsed your face and neck, you should use a toner (T). This is often overlooked, but toners are responsible for closing your pores after the wash has opened them. Using a cotton ball or pad to wipe toner over your face will also remove any extra dirt that wasn’t removed with your cleansing process. Here's the best way to wash your face: Use warm water to loosen dirt and clogged pores. Use a dime-sized bit of cleanser, then rinse with cool or lukewarm water. You'll also want to take off your makeup with a proper makeup remover. The third step is to use a good moisturizer (see moisturizer page). (ST)- Specialty Treatment products are those whose efficacy is excellent when used alone, but is further enhanced in combination with other items in our Beauty Basics and Skin Solutions Collections. |
